Half of the invited city workers weren’t able to make a special performance by Kelly Rowland honoring the City of New York Department of Sanitation on Friday because of the snow.

We’re told 100 workers were invited to the Claritin event at Houston Hall downtown to herald the first day of spring, but only 50 showed because they were hard at work getting the streets ready for the storm.

Rowland, who gave birth four months ago, sang two songs and told us she is excited to be back in the studio.

“I love, of course, that I’m a mom and I’m being able to have that time, but I can never forget about myself and the things that bring me joy and happiness,” she told us.
